black, white, and a dash of YouTube

A few months ago I was looking on the iPad at things I could potentially use in the classroom. I found the flipboard app to be very rewarding - giving me lots of different information that could be used with kids. Well...

...as I was searching through flipboard, I found the page of "The Kid Should See This." This site has a bunch of videos that kids would totally enjoy. I was thinking that these vids could definitely be used in the classroom to start writing prompts, etc. There are so many great resources out there, it's kind of crazy.

Anyhow, this week's video is totally awesome. I found the vid on The Kid Should See This. It's a Japanese cellphone commercial, you're probably thinking, "Oh great...how lame." But the concept of the commercial is just fantastic. It's shot in the Japanese forests and it's just a ball rolling downhill on a bunch of xylophone keys to the tune of Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.
