black and navy

I gotta admit, I wasn't too sure about this black/navy combo that's been trending lately. However, I have to admit, I sort of dig it. I know! I know, that the colors blend in with each other. But there is that slight difference that makes the tones together interesting. Completely unexpected. 

The terrible lighting in my room does not do this pairing any justice. I tried to angle my body so that the belt was catching the light, making it easier to see the difference in colors. I wish that I would have taken these outside so that you could also see the shoes in more detail with the outfit. 

I loved the idea of pairing this with more delicate accessories because of the lace details and the formal bow belt. 

This shirt and skirt could be worn together more casually with a brown skinny belt, leopard pointy flats, and gold jewelry. If I were to do this, I would also wear my hair down with a slight wave.
