After being at the Jr. High for the past 6 weeks, is it wrong of me to say that I don't want to go back to elementary? These past two days at the elementary school have been rough.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Paddy's Day, my lovely readers! I'm enjoying the holiday of my people, by taking a nice walk on my treadmill and watching Dancing with the Stars. Pretty festive, am I right?! No, but I did try to be kind of Irish-y (is that a thing?) today. I actually remembered to wear green. This shirt is totally green, btw. I swear! These pictures give the color no justice.

3 weeks in and 3 weeks left

"Blind Date with a Book" was a success! We have officially wrapped, bar coded, described, displayed, and checked out 90 books in our library! After having school only 7 days the past two weeks, and only 1 of those being a full day, we successfully managed to check out all 90 books!! I was so excited today when the last two books were checked out. My aide worked her tail off to help me get those books wrapped up and coded. She is amazing. My first three weeks as the librarian is almost up and I'm feeling so sad.

I almost forgot to post tonight! I was watching the Olympics with my grandpap and it completely slipped my mind. I love spending time with him so much. 

Tonight's look is a romantic yet slightly more casual take on Valentine's Day. I adore this skirt from Windsor. It could be paired with so many things. I have so many ideas that I can't wait to try out! It kinda makes me giddy thinking about it. I've been seeing tulle skirts all over Pinterest and blogs that I read, that I knew I needed to get one for my own closet. It really can be such a versatile piece. WHOOO!

Classic

The third Valentine's Day look this week is a classic pairing. An a-line skirt worn with a sweater reminds me of the 50's. Add in a polka dot blouse and you have a great retro vibe going on. To me, this feels so feminine and classy. It reminds me of something that my grandmother would have worn in the 1950's, but with a modern twist due to the lace and pink underskirting.  Complete the look with a red lip, pearls, and softened, finger-combed curls that flow around the face.

Valentine's Day gives all the love to pinks and reds, but I like the thought of bringing purple into your Valentine's Day wardrobe to give it a fresh feel. I paired these pastel pink jeans from Target with a deep, rich purple top from New York and Company. I didn't think I would love it as much as I do, but it's great! If you're trying to pull off this look without looking too much like a young girl, mix the light pink with a darker purple shade in a nice lush fabric. This shirt is like a dream. It's dressy enough that I can wear it to work, but I could dress it down for a night out with the girls. And the best part was that it was recently on sale for less than $10!!

My outfit of the day - minus the scarf and combat boots. I had a student tell me today that I actually looked like a librarian. Must be the grandpa sweater. Is that a thing? Librarians and grandpa sweaters? I'm so already on board!

I'm completely over this cold weather. Barf. All I want to do is dress for spring! Spriiiiing! Elsa totally needs to stop this craziness that is happening. LET IT GO, ELSA! Preferably far away from here. But if the snow and cold are gonna stick around, I may as well enjoy my beautiful jacket from T.J.Maxx.

Another snow day, another day to make up. At least I got to sleep in and stay snuggled up a little while longer! PLUS, something else is keeping me pretty snuggly tonight. My wonderful cousin Chrissy purchased this super duper slouchy and spectacular beanie for me and it just arrived in the mail today. Yippee!!! LOVE YOU, WOMAN! :)

Did someone call for a bow wielding bamf named Katniss Everdeen? Just kidding, but my outfit today seriously reminds me of her.  I didn't really notice it until I started to take my pics. So I figured I'd throw up a little braid action just for the added effect. 

I've got that reading problem

Lately I've been spending my free time catching up on my reading. Okay...when don't I normally do that? But I've had a little bit more time in the past few days to catch up and I just finished one of the most beautiful books yesterday! I devoured John Green's "The Fault in our Stars" yesterday afternoon. This book made me laugh and sob at the same time.

bridesmaid dresses: part deux

After many months of endless searching, I've finally found my bridesmaid dresses!! HALLELUJAH! I don't know why, but it was so hard to find ones that came in the right color scheme and had the right look to go with my dress and venue. I can't express how happy I am now that I've finally decided on ones I actually like!! AAAAAHH. Elated.

First day back at school and wearing my new skirt from Evan! I'm in love with it. I've seen skirts like this for a while all over the fashion blogs, but every time I went to buy one online they would always be out of stock. Windsor finally put one online and I'm obsessed!! Super good quality and looks so cute! It made me feel really good today getting lots of compliments at work and a little girl told me that I looked "really cute."

These were the not so beautiful sounds emerging from my library cart these past few days as I drug it through the echoing hallways at school. 
"We could hear you coming a mile away," says one teacher. 
"Wow. What kind of noise is that?," cries another!
"Sorry, it's the only cart we have....," I sadly admit to all of the onlookers who emerge from their classrooms.

Currently at Macy's waiting for the show to begin and listening to "Let It Go" from Frozen on some serious repeat. Idina will bust your knee caps and she don't give a what about it!

I have GOT to see this movie.

mamma I'm a big girl now

I've quite the "To-Do List" this month. It might not seem like a lot, but these things are super time consuming, especially since I've been working over 40 hours a week. I'm kinda frightened. I'm hoping to get lots of this accomplished over Christmas break!! Here's a slight sample:

After a 4 day week, I'm currently sitting in my bestie's apartment. Couldn't be much happier. :)

This weekend is going to be so much fun - getting to hang with my long lost friends and see some new ones. 

Now I'm just waiting on the boy to get home from work so we can go out and have a fun night with everyone we love.

Today. Was. Awesome.

I finally recorded my demo today! It was so amazingly cool to be in the studio working on my craft. 

And being an actor, you'd think it would be easier. I mean, some of the lines I got right away with only a few takes. Some of them we even liked the very first take. 

However, like I expected, some of the spots gave me some trouble.
