Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Paddy's Day, my lovely readers! I'm enjoying the holiday of my people, by taking a nice walk on my treadmill and watching Dancing with the Stars. Pretty festive, am I right?! No, but I did try to be kind of Irish-y (is that a thing?) today. I actually remembered to wear green. This shirt is totally green, btw. I swear! These pictures give the color no justice.

Oh my goodness....so many things are happening lately! All the girls have their dresses ordered, Evan picked up his suit last night, our first gifts arrived at my house today, and my dress came in today! Oh my gosh. This is making me so excited!! It's actually happening. Before, it seemed like it was an eternity away. But time has seemed to go by in such a blink. I feel like I could ramble on about this forever, but I'm just so excited to marry my best friend. It makes me smile so much. I feel so happy. 

Classic

The third Valentine's Day look this week is a classic pairing. An a-line skirt worn with a sweater reminds me of the 50's. Add in a polka dot blouse and you have a great retro vibe going on. To me, this feels so feminine and classy. It reminds me of something that my grandmother would have worn in the 1950's, but with a modern twist due to the lace and pink underskirting.  Complete the look with a red lip, pearls, and softened, finger-combed curls that flow around the face.

I forgot that I wore this outfit to school but I didn't show you guys! I hope you like it! I received so many nice compliments on this skirt that day. I'm in love with it. The only kind of cruddy thing is that it's a little too big to sit at my natural waist, so I have to wear the belt kinda tight around my waist to keep the skirt in place. I should probably get this thing tailored.

Currently, I'm completely obsessed with the mod, grid print trend that is happening right now!! I was so lucky to find this dress on super sale at Francesca's. It was on sale for $20 with an extra 40% on top of that! If you're looking to put some exciting grid action into your wardrobe there are some amazing affordable finds out there.

Nerd Alert

Though I loved every minute of having Christmas break and having school delays, they have truly messed up my sleep schedule. I hope all my teacher pals are having a better time getting back into the routine than I am! 

mamma I'm a big girl now

I've quite the "To-Do List" this month. It might not seem like a lot, but these things are super time consuming, especially since I've been working over 40 hours a week. I'm kinda frightened. I'm hoping to get lots of this accomplished over Christmas break!! Here's a slight sample:

Dressed for Friday

It's kinda strange going into school when you're the only teacher dressed up. I forgot that it was casual Friday. Everyone else was in sweatshirts and windbreaker pants, while your's truly was dressed in this little number. Obviously I was pretty bummed because, I mean, who doesn't love going to work in their favorite snuggly sweatshirt and worn in jeans.

So I turned 26 a week ago, today. Basically  it was a pretty bomb b-day weekend.

Hallowboo of Horrors

Happy October, everyone. I'm certainly in the mood for fall. This weekend was the opening day to Hallowboo at Idlewild Park. It was such a blast. And SUPER hot out today. 

Too bad these shows are only on the weekends or I'd definitely be getting into shape just from all the dancing and sweating that's happening. Gross.

After a 4 day week, I'm currently sitting in my bestie's apartment. Couldn't be much happier. :)

This weekend is going to be so much fun - getting to hang with my long lost friends and see some new ones. 

Now I'm just waiting on the boy to get home from work so we can go out and have a fun night with everyone we love.

First day of school

Today was my first day back to school - getting my sub on. 

And here I was thinking I wasn't gonna get called in again this week. Wrong.

Like an idiot, I stayed up until 4am. 

What was I doing?

Rewatching Pretty Little Liars season 1, of course, trying to catch the clues of who A really is. Clearly. 

But then I woke up this morning to a text message buzzing in my ear at 8:29 telling me to be at school at 8:30!! YIKES!!!!

A few changes around these parts. I'm so sorry if there is any confusion. Theater Geek and Teacher Chic went through an identity crisis. I've decided to change the blog's title to my name, Whitney Justine, as it represents me for who I am. Not just only certain aspects of my life. 

Thrifted and Gifted

So, I'm sure your summer is ending just as fast as mine. School starts on Monday and it feels like it kept up on me like some kinda scary monster or something. I'm definitely not ready for this year to start. My sleep schedule is all whacked up and I still want to sleep till noon.

I'm so proud of myself for acting like a real person today and putting on normal people clothes instead of giving into the urge to stay in my pj's. And I even did my hair!! I suppose it also helped that I was going out in public. Eh. Who am I kidding, it's not like haven't gone out in public in my pajamas and/or looking a hot, train wreck, mess before.
