Hallowboo of Horrors

Happy October, everyone. I'm certainly in the mood for fall. This weekend was the opening day to Hallowboo at Idlewild Park. It was such a blast. And SUPER hot out today. 

Too bad these shows are only on the weekends or I'd definitely be getting into shape just from all the dancing and sweating that's happening. Gross.

I'm so proud of myself for acting like a real person today and putting on normal people clothes instead of giving into the urge to stay in my pj's. And I even did my hair!! I suppose it also helped that I was going out in public. Eh. Who am I kidding, it's not like haven't gone out in public in my pajamas and/or looking a hot, train wreck, mess before.

What an amazing 4th of July celebration! I had a blast last night with Evan and some great friends. We were able to celebrate with some wonderful new people. And we danced the night away after spending some time tubing on the back of our friend Geoff's family boat. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday as well!

Hi, everyone! I'm enjoying my first few days of summer vacation. The last week of school was definitely brutal considering that none of the kids wanted to be there and they definitely did not want a substitute teacher telling them that they still had to behave. But we all made the best of the situation and made it to the end without any serious meltdowns! And this week we have extra long rehearsals for The Wedding Singer to keep me busy, as well as VBS at church.

My grandfather has been extremely ill for quite some time now. But this past week, my family and I have noticed that he had started to turn yellow. Like, extremely yellow. We took him to the hospital, only to find out that he has a cancerous mass on his pancreas. The doctors can't do surgery because his heart is too weak for the procedure. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and help him get through his rough time!

I bought these pants hoping that the black, white, and grey color scheme would take me into fall and winter. I wanted them to be versatile enough to wear them with this great chunky sweater, but also be able to wear them with a dressy blouse or even a plain t-shirt.  I've been a little hesitant to wear these babies, but I think I've made a great fall pairing.

Though I took these pics yesterday (sorry for the inside pics and mess, it was freezing and raining outside), I actually wore this outfit to school today. The pretty cool thing was that it was Steeler day at school and I didn't even realize it! I'm completely decked out in Steeler colors.

I've had these leggings for almost 3 years. Now that the leather fad has come back I'm ready to bust them back out. Maybe in small doses, but I think that's okay.

Insanity WHAT!?

I tried the workout Insanity today. It was brutal. I only did the fitness test and felt like I was going to be sick halfway through. Maybe that had to do with the fact that on every break I was guzzling water like it was my job.

Solo Holiday

Though I should have been spending this beautiful three day weekend with friends, I'm not. I had planned a great big weekend full of action packed fun. But, things just didn't work out. So here I am, sitting alone in my room like a recluse. However, I did manage to get a lot accomplished on the blog and get it spiffed up a bit. So, I guess that's a plus.

And on the bright side, I made some money and got to spend some quality time with my grandpap. 

First Boyfriend

Just a bit excited...

I'm just a tad bit excited today because tomorrow is the last day of 30 for 30! I'm glad that I did it, but I'm so ready to wear other clothes for you guys.
